OCTOBER  DEMOLITION DERBY HAS BIG MONEY UP FOR GRABS

BY DENNIS NEWLYN

Calling all demolition derby drivers!!!

How would you like to win $2000?

Good money for no more than 30 minutes work at Grafton Speedway on October 28.

You can’t beat that!

The only requirement is to be the last car running in the crash spectacular that not only carries a very impressive pay cheque but the honour of being the best demolition derby driver in New South Wales. The trophy that goes with the title is just as impressive as the prize money.

Nomination forms are now on the Grafton Speedway website (www.graftonspeedway.com.au).

To enter, it’s as easy as downloading the nomination form or even just picking up the phone. Call 66212733 or 0408-222908 during office hours Monday to Friday for all the entry details. (Email: office@lismorespeedway.com.au).

Even by just being the driver judged the most spectacular, the entrant picks up a cool $500!

There are plenty of reasons to file an entry form today!

The NSW Demolition Derby Championship is one of the richest in the history of Australian speedway.

“I have given the drivers plenty of incentive to enter,” Grafton promoter David Lander said.

“I cannot recall a demolition derby offering two thousand dollars to the winner. In past history, the demolition derbies, regardless of whether it was a state title or an Australian Championship, never paid this much money.

“I want to see a good entry list on hand for the demolition derby at Grafton Speedway on October 28.

SEASON COMMENCEMENT

Meanwhile, the 2017-18 season at Grafton Speedway commences on September 30.

In addition to the racing part of the programme, there will be an appearance by the highly spectacular, flame throwing jet car in a night of family entertainment.

“The jet car will go through its usual routine that has to be seen to be believed. The night promises to be enjoyment for the whole family as we get another season of racing underway at the Grafton venue,” Lander added.

Highlight of the racing programme will be the running of the V8 Dirt Modified Clarence Valley Spring Cup to be run over a distance of 30 laps.

Wingless Sprintcars also will be featured on the big variety programme, along with Street Stocks, National Four Cylinder Sedans, Junior Sedans, AMCA Nationals, Production Sedans and Lightning Sprints.
